From the Pumalin Explorer lodge you are within easy reach of the exceptional fly fishing waters of Lago Yelcho. We also extensively fish Rio Yelcho, for Brown and Rainbow Trout, which has now recovered from the 2008 volcanic eruption. Each year we are seeing increases in the Chinook Salmon population that run up the Yelcho and Michinmahuida Rivers. We are also catching Steelhead Trout that are moving between the Ancud Gulf and the the Michimahuida River. All of our fishing is catch and release. |
